I am an failing perfectionist.
I live for the aha! moment in any process. The magical moment where something actually works amidst the layers of failures. Until that moment, I relentlessly search for something different. Twisting and turning ideas and inspiration into new ones until I can finally comb through to find a solution I never knew I wanted. The unpredictable nature of transitioning from one phase to the next, of developing, progressing, and changing, is what drives me. It’s why I never feel done with a project. Always striving for improvement turns into striving for perfection–which can be exhausting, since I’ll never get there–but I always keep in mind that aha! moment at the end of the tunnel. It’s the moment where I can feel proud of what I’ve created after a long, thoughtful, and creative journey.
